While this filter works great...the picture is not what you will get. You will get the new one that is compatible but you won't know that from any packaging or note. You will think that you received the wrong product until you can finally contact Fast Filters (they don't respond to Amazon email so you have to call). Rest assured the product is wonderful and lasts as it should with easy installation.

These water filters work great with our Maytag refrigerator. We have an under the sink water filter that provides all of our water needs except our automatic ice maker in the Maytag refrigerator. These filters install very easily into the refrigerator and work great for the ice maker. Before our ice had the same smell and taste that comes from our tap water (Albuquerque). After installing the filter, the ice no longer smells and no longer changes the taste of filtered water when it melts. Very nice product that works great in our Maytag refrigerator. We have been using the filter for 3-4 months now. They are supposed to last for 6-months but because we only use it for the ice maker, I will see if it can last for 12-months. Thanks for this product.

I purchased a new home in august that came with a fridge that used one of these filters. I noticed when I would get water from the fridge water dispensers it would always taste metallic. Then one day the change filter light came on so I bought one of these filters and now the water from the fridge tastes great. These things really do work! They are easy to install as well.
