Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Ultrasonic waves are nearly silent to humans and most animals. Most pests hear sounds in the ultrasonic range. Household pests are repelled because they cannot adapt to the constantly changing array of ultrasonic waves emitted by the units. The wave signals disrupt the pests' nervous systems, greatly affecting their feeding and communication habits, thereby forcing them to leave the area.

1 out of 5 stars Made no difference ...   September 7, 2010

I plugged this in ABOVE where I had a trap placed. Got up in the morning and there was a mouse in the trap. Apparently it didn't keep him away from the trap, let alone my kitchen! Not impressed, I'm returning it today. (bought mine at the hardware store) Go with the Victor zapper, it'll kill 1 at a time, but at least they are DEAD!

I purchased a Black and Decker pest repeller (plan A) on 8/23/10. That same day I plugged one in the living room (the point of entry) and one in my brother's room (where he heard them frolicking about). This morning I was awakened to a critter chewing away on a plastic bait pouch (plan B) trying to pull it into the hole in the wall. The pest repeller is about 10 feet across the living room completely unobstructed.

I'm not really sure how this product works, and under what conditions it is scientically tested, if at all. I just know that I don't want mice in my house. So, along with plan B, I'll be instituting plan C, which is getting a kitty.

I bought these with hesitation, but They really work. I live near the California Sequoia's and we have a ton of spiders and weird looking bugs everywhere. I have not seen one spider or bug anywhere in my house since I plugged these in. I have told everyone I know about these. I was worried about my 2 dogs being able to hear them but it has not bothered them.

These don't work, don't buy them. Just buy the raid spray at the store and spray your house every 6 months...that actually works and it costs less!

I bought this a few months ago and nothing. I thought it was working at first because I didn't see any mice and I saw fewer ants. I realized quickly it was because of our weather and not because of this device. Last night I saw a mouse run across my floor and 2 weeks ago I had to throw out and entire cabinet of food. A few days after I bought this I saw mice running out from under my house when I would start the lawn mower. I really wish I would've just spent money on traps and not this junk. Over $3000 worth of groceries later I realize that this cheap piece of junk should not be on the market. And to top it off we have increased the amount of bugs in our house such as spiders, moths, misquotes, etc. I almost think it attracts bugs.
